How to Read Your Bill

Telstra has one billing cycle.  Billing starts the first of each month to the last of each month, for the current month the bill is received.  Partial charges will be pro-rated to the specific date.

Billing Account Numbers Structure

Telstra provides billing to help assist customers managing one to many locations.  Once the customers charges are generated within the billing system, they are generated onto a single bill or if required can be divided among a series of Billing Account Numbers per request.

Summary of Charges

This provides a summary of all charges applicable to the account

  • Total past due charges – charges unpaid from previous bills
  • Payments made – any payments made will be listed here by date
  • Current Charges – only apply to the current months charges
  • Taxes (if applicable)
  • Credits/Debits – represents adjustments to bills (including claims credits, debits, Earl, Term Fees, SLA credits, relocation fees, move charges, etc)
  • Interest Fees
  • Total Amount Due

Charges

This provides a recap of the current charges including:

  • Location, Service Item Type, Speed and Price
  • Voice customers will be provided detailed usage of calls made
